Faye Gilks

“I am Faye Gilks and I am a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist registered with UKCP and AFT (Association of Family Therapy)- I think systemically and specialise in communication, relationships, and understanding things in context. I see things very much in relation to one another, so a change in one part of a family system/relationship is likely to change and influence the whole system/relationship. I work with any, young person, parent/carer or couple, who may be struggling to communicate or to have difficult conversations and may feel a sense of stuckness in their family or a relationship, all which could be impacting their mental health”

“Hello, my name is Demelza, I’m 42 yrs of age, and I have been practising psychotherapy for 18 months. I bring with me my sports coaching and yoga teaching skills as well as my passion for nature and the outdoors. When helping others, my perspective is always from an holistic standpoint.

Being a Human Givens therapist gives me a range of tools to bring your emotional and psychological wellbeing back into balance. Together we will assess how well your emotional needs are being met and discover what resources are not being used to get those needs met in balance. Success can be achieved in as few as 6 sessions.

I have a particular interest in PTSD cPTSD, trauma, fears and anxiety. I am able to treat depression, addictions, symptoms of dysfunctional childhood/family, stress, performance anxiety, grief, bullying, relationship issues to name just a few. I can help children, adolescents and adults.”

Until recently, Demelza was working in Oxford. She is now seeing clients in Warwickshire at Southam Speaking Space. You can find more information and contact her via https://www.psychologytoday.com/gb/counselling/demelza-hawes-oxford-eng/910993

Anissa Allen

Hi there! My name is Anissa, and I offer person-centred counselling within a warm, empathic environment where clients can freely and safely explore their emotions and experiences.

I am fully qualified, holding a BSc (Hons) degree in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy and I have many years experience working with adults, children and young people in various counselling settings such as primary schools, secondary schools, various non-profit organisations and charities. I am fully insured and hold registered membership for the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) (Member No: 407326).

In my practice, I’m committed to delivering a compassionate, down to earth approach, where ensuring my clients feel comfortable and building up a trusting therapeutic relationship is paramount.

My work with children and young people often involves the use of arts, crafts, games and toys to allow the client to express themselves both verbally and creatively. This experience can enrich therapy for younger clients, especially for those who can’t always find the words to express their emotions.

If you are struggling or have a child you are seeking help for, then please reach out. I offer a free initial phone call to discuss any queries and to determine whether I am the right counsellor for you or your child.
